Marketing Inspiration #34.2: AC Thoughts

Your weekly dose of data-driven marketing insights - AC Thoughts on Diversity & Inclusion, Launching Automated Intelligence, and Creating a Neutral Space Between Media & Creative

Diversity & Inclusion Are Not Just HR Buzzwords

In honour of Pride Month, AC invited Jerry Daykin, marketing leader and diversity champion, to talk about the importance of D&I for marketing practices and the role that marketers play in diversifying the discourse at all levels.

“We shape stereotypes - we control not only the ads we make, but the content that gets sponsored and gets made. So, as marketers, advertisers, people working in tech, wherever we work in our industry, we actually have quite a unique position [of influence],” says Jerry. Besides, diversity just makes good business sense, opening up brands to different markets and allowing for different messages to be tested and worked with.

Finding Creative Switzerland

Creative and media agencies have been disconnected for far too long and this puts campaign success at risk, but a better way is possible. At AC, clients have called us a Switzerland of advertising, enabling a more integrated creative and media model centred around data, regardless of whether agencies sit within the same group or are independent of one another.
